we have General Practitioners who join us following several years of working in hospitals to
learn about general practice. At present we have Dr Ciara Brennan working
with us in this role. We also teach medical students for some weeks each
year. This is vital experience for the students and you may be asked if you mind
a student being present during your consultation. Practice Team
Debbie Hamilton is our practice manager, who organises,
co-ordinates and administrates all non-medical aspects of the Practice. She is available to deal with any
administrative or general enquiries you may have. Reception Staff Our receptionists aim to help you as much as possible,
and can provide you with general information about the practice. Their job is
difficult but if you let them know clearly what you require they will do their

Our practice nurses perform
many tasks in association with the doctors, including health promotion, well
women and chronic disease clinics. Appointments can be made through reception
staff at the above telephone number or by reporting to the nurse reception area. Treatment Room Nurses - Tel. 0141-531 8572
The nurses who operate this service carry out routine blood/urine tests in association with the General Practitioners. They also provide dressings and stitch removal by appointment. District Nurses - Tel. 0141-531 8522 Nursing assistance can be arranged at home for patients who are housebound in association with the doctors. District nurses can call on patients discharged from hospital who require continuing nursing care. District nurses are available each day by telephone between 1pm and 2pm. Health Visitors Health Visitors are available to give advice on health care, especially with regard to child and family health, immunisations, sleep problems in children, child behaviour and health screening in the elderly. They are involved in community development work and liaise closely with the practice team and other agencies. Counsellor We have the services of a qualified Counsellor. Appropriate appointments can be made after consultation with the doctor. Dietitian We have the services of a qualified Dietitian. Appropriate appointments can be made after consultation with the doctor.
