Thursday evening surgery is suitable for patients who work and are unable to attend surgery during normal hours.

Appointments

Consultations are by appointment only and can be made either by telephone or calling at the surgery. You may see the doctor of your choice if you book your appointment in advance. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please let us know in good time, so that it can be offered to someone else.

For urgent problems we run a triage system, to allow us to prioritise those patients needing seen on the same day. When you call the surgery to request an urgent appointment or house call, the receptionist will take your details and arrange for one of the doctors to call you back to discuss the problem.

To make an appointment telephone 0141-531 8580 between 8.30am and 5.30pm.

Home Visits

Home visits are available for those too ill or infirm to come to the surgery. It is often possible to be seen more quickly at the surgery and the receptionist may ask you, as a matter of routine, if you are able to come to the surgery.

Remember the doctor can see three or four patients in the surgery in the time it takes to make a home visit, and the doctor will decide whether a home visit is necessary. If you think you need a home visit please try to telephone before 10.00am.

To request a home visit telephone 0141- 531 8585.

Out of Hours

This practice uses the Glasgow Emergency Medical Services (GEMS) based at the Victoria Infirmary. This service is for emergency cases only. Please phone the surgery and your call will be automatically diverted to NHS24 where nurses will ask you about your symptoms. Please note that all calls to this service are tape-recorded. Please do not attend the centre without telephoning first. For more information click here.
